Stanley Orchart (1920-2005) a landscape watercolour artist working in East Anglia. He painted mainly in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.
Studied at Leeds School of Art andwas known for his beautiful protrayals of the English countrysidein both oils and watercolour. He was in demand for commissions andHer Majesty the Queen Mother was a major patron of hs work.Orchart's work is now in public and private collections around theworld. Stanley Orchart lived in Great Staughton, Cambridgeshire,and spent most of his life working in his home county of Bedfordshire and East Anglia.
